TRAINING
Jeannine took our Great Dane, Ryder, from being barely approachable by strangers to seeking the touch of strangers.
He was a very anxious scared 10-month-old that the Covid-19 lockdown made worse. It took a few classes for Ryder to trust. He would jump at you when you just reached out to touch and he's a big dog. Jeannine was patient, calm, kind, and tough when needed with him and she gained his complete trust.
He learned all the basic commands pretty quick, wanting to impress. Then he got to socialize with other dogs and before we knew it he was in a real class with other dogs and people. He got his Certification for Obedience 1, this was such a big deal! Next we took him to Lowes and Home Depot, Ryder loved it! The big test came with taking him out on the most popular street of Saratoga Springs! We weren't ready but Jeannine said he was - He did amazing. He looked at other dogs and passed by. He had a ton of people stop and pet him and he just stood or sat and let them. The biggest moment though was when he went into the book store and so many people surrounded him and he just let them, even laid down (relaxed).
Jeannine brought so much out and put so much into Ryder that he is able to be a dog - not a scared, unapproachable animal. Ryder LOVES her and so do we!

We hired Jeannine to work with our hound-mix Summit and our son, who has severe ADHD and anxiety.
Our son would have emotional outbursts that would last hours and we had tried everything to lessen these episodes and comfort him. One day we realized that when Summit was present his episodes did not last as long and his overall anxiety was better. So, we decided to engage Jeannine to help us train Summit to be our son's emotional support animal. Jeannine came to our home once a week and worked with both of them. The results were truly amazing! While Summit was a little unsure at first, Jeannie's patience, calm approach, and determination paid off. Now, when our son has an episode, Summit knows to go to him and give 'hugs'. She lays on his lap or chest and our son immediately calms down. We are forever grateful for what Jeannine was able to do for our family.
We took Summit with us on our trip to Florida this past April. She was absolutely unbelievable. She did great in the Airport and on the plane. People kept coming up to us to tell us what a beautiful and well trained dog she was. She sat on Logan's lap during the flight and he did great. We even brought her with us to Universal Studios and she did just as well there and even rode most of the rides with us!

As a family who had never had a dog, or pet of any kind, and where my husband and I never had pets growing up we had always been hesitant about getting a pet.
After some "coaxing" by our 15 year old, we decided to get a puppy (it was now or never). We were introduced to Jeannine at TLC Goldens, met the momma and her new litter of puppies and immediately agreed that one of them would be ours.
Jeannine helped us through the entire process of picking out the right one for our family, and then helping us novices step-by-step to adapt to raising this new baby in our home. She helped us understand what to do and not to do, when to do things and was always there to answer questions (house training, food selection and introduction, sleep habits, vet selection, etc.). When the time came we also needed advice and guidance on training our new pup, and Jeannine has helped guide us through that process, as well.
Our dog is smart, but stubborn at times, so this has not been without its challenges.
Now we have a 1.5 year old, who is the model dog of the neighborhood and who just passed the Canine Good Citizen test!

Jeannine is an experienced boutique breeder who is committed to giving the puppies a great head start in life by making sure the dam and sire are healthy. Shen then sets the stage at birth through 8 weeks by giving the puppies an environment that supports their health and development. She uses an assortment of techniques to help the pups to adjust to their new world. She is a loving and patient person who is totally focused on the pups from the moment they are born into this world.
She is also selective about who can have the pups by asking questions regarding the home, time to be with the puppy and so on.
In addition, she is an experienced trainer. I took advantage of the group litter training as well as the one on one training. Both sets of classes helped me to bond with and understand my sweet girl Lucy.

I got my Millie from TLC GOLDENS in January of 2020 in upstate New York. A beautiful English creme with the best temperament.
My fiancé and I have loved having a dog in our lives. We did a lot of training with Jeannine which has led to Millie passing her Canine Good Citizen test! We hope to have her trained to be a therapy dog in the next couple years.

I have known Jeannine Smith for about 4 years. It seems like a lifetime though because she has helped me so much.
Jeannine is a wonderful breeder with outstanding ethics. Breeding exceptional dogs takes hard work, attention to detail, and often heartbreaking decisions.
