MEET JEANNINE

Jeannine Vetrano Smith enjoys training all breeds but shares a special passion for all types of Retrievers since she trained her first Golden at age 12 for obedience and duck hunting. She has since trained an additional seven of her own Goldens and has worked with many other dogs and pups for obedience, agility, tricks, therapy dog certification and for various behavioral issues. Being a teacher for 36 years helped her transition her educational background with children into educating dogs and their families.

Jeannine has left the Saratoga Springs, NY area to join the love of her life in Napa, CA. They were married March of 2022.You can follow their journey across country with their three Goldens Jazz, Rosie, and Kimmie. Jeannine began breeding from the stud’s end eleven years ago . However there is nothing like birthing a litter of pups and raising them. Seeing how they change daily and knowing you are influencing the type of dog they will become is the best occupation in the world.

Jeannine has also completed the following AKC certifications: S.T.A.R. Puppy and all levels of Canine GFood Citizen.She has also completed a three day course with Ian Dunbar “Science Dog Training (with Feeling)”. This course is approved for 18 CEU’s by the Certification for Professional Dog Trainers, International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants & The National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors.

Jeannine and her dogs are members of Therapy Dog International, Paws for Healing, Napa Valley Dog Training Club, and Napa Valley Goldens.
