Prong Collars: Medieval Torture Devices or Most Humane Way to Train?

I was never a fan of prong collars. I had to use one for a large male and felt very guilty. I have a totally different opinion about them now since I have been using them to train. Any other collar except a prong will put pressure on your dog’s trachea if he or she pulls. This can cause respiratory problems. A prong collar MUST be fitted correctly, AND you need training on how to use if appropriately, but if you do this, it works miracles and is very very safe...in fact the SAFEST way to train! The prong puts gentle pressure all around the neck, the way a mother dog would correct a pup. Dogs attend well and do not pull. My dogs look forward to their prong because it means they get some training time. Dogs love to have a purpose. Come train with me at TLC Training and see how quickly your dog heels and listens! It is night and day!
